The coolest car in the World!!

My love affair with the Déesse (Goddess) started in the 1970s as a child when on holidays in France they were the ubiquitous family car, they made over a million of them in the Paris Factory between 1955 and 1975 so they were literally on every street and autoroute and I simply fell in love with them. I remember saying to my Dad when we saw a particularly beautiful soft top version (Decapotable) in Aix en Provence,   “One day Dad I’ll own a DS” and that day came true in 1990 when on holiday in the south of France I happened upon a DS garage on the N7 close to Aix that had circa 50 of them on the side of the road. I stopped, test drove three and chose my gorgeous 1967 DS 21 which I own to this day. I purchased the car for 30,000 FF circa £3000.00 and my love affair has continued since then. In the last 30 years it’s been fully restored both exterior and interior  –  the exterior I kept in the original (Blanc Carrare) at a cost of £10,800 and the interior I recently had fully restored in olive green leather, along with the dash board and headlining in the original colour at a cost of £5500. The DS has had endless accolades poured on it over the decades but the only real criticism was that some of the earlier models were underpowered so I chose to have the most powerful engine 2350cc installed with a five speed manual gear box which replaced the original four speed which was noisy and revved out on motorways. My DS now presents as the perfect, practical classic that will sit at 130kmh( 80mph) on the auto route all day long whilst also being quiet and responsive on the open road. The seats are truly sumptuous and these combined with the hydro pneumatic suspension stunning interior styling and  blue tooth sound system so you can choose the  music for your event make this  DS a truly unique travelling experience. I’m based in Epsom in Surrey and the car is used most days in South London  whenever the  roads are dry. You’ll see images of her in numerous locations around London but I also use her for family holidays so have just come back from a fortnight in the South of France –  if any body can name the town where I took the photo of her whilst sitting at a  bar, I’ll supply you with a bottle of Champagne!! The French are simply mad about this car and wherever you go people stop you to take photos, wave, blow kisses and one elderly gent even got in it when I was stopped briefly at a market. Similarly in the UK it always turns heads and is a real show stopper, stopping at a petrol station always takes longer than expected as people invariably always come over to adore and ask questions.
